I finally finished my quilt!!! It's been sitting in the back of my closet for two years, so I decided to send it off to be quilted and I put the binding on.

Here's our Halloween photos. Kayla was a cowgirl, Ian a vampire, Amanda was Maid Marian, Josie a gypsy. Tiffany was Goldilocks, and Talen was Baby Bear. Tyrin and I were Papa and Mama Bear.

We recently went up into the mountains to cut firewood. The kids love to explore and climb boulders and trees. I got a few good pictures.

These are our new puppies born yesterday. The females at left and the males at right. Ten puppies! Poor Dot! The kids are so excited and I can barely get them in the house. They each have a favorite already. We decided to give them yummy names: Lollipop, Licorice, Jellybean, Fudge, Butterscotch, Cookie, Brownie, Milkshake, M&M, and Chocolate Chip.

I made these blankets for a Project Linus activity taking place at one of our church buildings last week. Each of the kids had a favorite and I was so tempted to keep most of them. But reason prevailed and I donated them all. I think that Project Linus is something I'd like to get more involved with. They had blanket making "Fun Days" every 3rd Tuesday, so I think that I'll have to go check it out. Also at our activity they had us die some fabric squares for a quilt using shaving cream, paints, and toothpicks. The shaving cream sets the paint so it won't wash out. At any rate, I had fun, I like to sew, and it's nice to feel like I'm doing something to help the community one blanket at a time!
